Book Note
My latest purchase from Amazon arrived yesterday, Threatening Anthropology by David H. Price. I was led to this book by oneman's post about activist anthropologists and the recent story about the Yale anthropologist fired for his anarchist views. Even in the first few pages, Price is highly critical (and rightly so) of the FBI's surveillance and harassment of anthropologists promoting anything that threatened the American capitalist class structure, including racial equality and cultural relativism.
